I approach my work as a therapist differently; I prioritize getting to know you. I want to know your world, in detail, from your perspective. This allows me to understand more about you and your experiences, and I am ready to listen and help you navigate the maze you are in. If you are experiencing a life change, the loss of a loved one, or are looking for some consistent mental health support, I provide that soft place to land. I often follow my intuition while helping clients work through emotional or mental barriers.
I love working with children and adults of all ages. We can discuss anything you are struggling with, and I specialize in:
domestic abuse
LGBTQ
sexual health
self-esteem
trauma
I have lived many experiences in my life, and they have shaped me into the person I am today.
Transforming both joyous and adverse experiences into tools I use in sessions every day has strengthened my work as a therapist. I focus on remaining curious and encourage my clients to avoid self-blame.
A successful client/therapist fit is important for the strength and efficacy of sessions.
If you are comfortable with me during our introductory call, I have confidence our work together will be beneficial to you. Unfortunately, I can’t accept insurance, though you have the option of discussing reduced payments or a payment plan with me. Contact me today to set up an introductory phone call.
I offer a no-nonsense approach, delivered with intellect and empathy.
I am passionate about helping my clients thrive beyond abusive relationships or experiences and discover authenticity. I enjoy working with and supporting domestic abuse and childhood trauma survivors and provide a range of healing tools.
The feedback I get from clients is that I'm easy to talk to, a great listener, and a wonderful asset to their lives.
I have a natural ability to foster an open-minded, judgment-free safe space. I will never rush you, and we can walk that journey together at your pace. Emotional support is a right, not a privilege.
Creative expression is creativity that is emotionally driven.
It is about discovering and honoring authenticity, and has a positive influence on our mental health. My quilting work is emotionally driven, meaning my experiences often inspire my creative expression, and I would love to share that experience with you. I also incorporate principles of evidence-based therapy, intuition, tough love, and fun.
