I approach my work as a therapist differently; I prioritize getting to know you. I want to know your world, in detail, from your perspective. This allows me to understand more about you and your experiences, and I am ready to listen and help you navigate the maze you are in. If you are experiencing a life change, the loss of a loved one, or are looking for some consistent mental health support, I provide that soft place to land. I often follow my intuition while helping clients work through emotional or mental barriers.
I specialize in:
domestic abuse
LGBTQ
sexual health
self-esteem
I have lived many experiences in my life, and they have shaped me into the person I am today. Transforming both joyous and adverse experiences into tools I use in sessions every day has strengthened my work as a therapist. I teach my clients how to replace self-blame with curiosity, and re-examine failures as identification and feedback from the universe, as if to say, “You’re doing great, that’s just not the one.”
A successful client/therapist fit is important for the strength and efficacy of sessions. Following our introductory call, our first session will be charged at a lowered introduction rate. If you enjoy working with me, and I have confidence our work together will be beneficial to you, sessions return to my regular rate. Unfortunately, I can’t accept insurance, though you have the option of discussing reduced payments or a payment plan with me.

I offer a no-nonsense approach, delivered with intellect and empathy. I am passionate about helping my clients thrive beyond abusive relationships or experiences and discover authenticity. I enjoy working with and supporting domestic abuse and childhood trauma survivors by providing the tools to live your life as the person you truly are. The feedback I get from clients is that I'm easy to talk to, a great listener, and a wonderful asset to their lives. I have a natural ability to foster an open-minded, judgment-free safe space. I will never rush you, and we can walk that journey together at your pace. Emotional support is a right, not a privilege.
My experiences also inspire my creative expression. Creative expression, or creativity that is emotionally driven, is about discovering and honoring authenticity, and has a positive impact on our mental health. My quilting work is emotionally driven, and discovering the incredible connection between creativity and mental health has inspired me to share it with the people in my life, which includes clients. I also incorporate principles of evidence-based therapy, which we can discuss more during our introductory session.
